Dr. Payas began practicing in his native Cuba in 1953.   He continued his education in the United States with a MFA and a Doctorate in Philosophy in 1970 from Florida State University.   Dr. Payas was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1976 after completing the Cuban American Lawyers Program, University of Florida.
